Welcome to 2020

The Rockies made their long awaited debut this weekend, opening up the COVID-19 Shortened season in Texas.   In all they took 4 of 5 games there including two exhibition games earlier in the week, but officially, they won 2 of 3 to win their first road series of the year.

Tonight they won again in Oakland which gave them a 3-1 record, and  assured a winning road trip for the first time since going 5-4 on a west coast trip in late June last year.

MLB has had to postpone at least 11 games this week due to the COVID outbreak with the Marlins.  To try to alleviate the problem, MLB has moved 2 of the 3 games scheduled between the Yankees and Orioles to Wednesday and Thursday this week.  The Marlins (7), Phillies (4) Nationals (3) Yankees (4) and Orioles (4) need to reschedule those games into their schedule.  Not sure how they'll do it or what the Orioles and Yankees are going to do with the extra off days next week.

Stay tuned.
